Replication of Original Moldings

The darker molding on the left is a cove from the 50's.
|Basic Cove Replication|
On the right in the image is the replication. The cut ends shown are at a 45 degree. Of course this cove can be obtained at a lumberyard, The replicated piece of cove pictured was purposely made a little smaller and made from Vintage Pine. It duplicates the profile of the original cove that was store bought 60 years ago.
Notice the difference in color at the cut off ends.
They are both Pine. The one to the left is a western pine and the right hand one is the old growth.
Real NiceThis is an example of early American craftsmanship with personal artistry or flair in every detail. I have gotten down to bare wood on some of this woodwork and it was made from the old growth pine.
